Westchester County’s Department of Senior Programs and Services (DSPS) is issuing two requests for proposals (RFPs) from qualified agencies to provide Medicare information services and to connect caregivers to important resources, training, counseling and support groups within their community. The projects will benefit seniors – age 60 and older – and caregivers who reside in Westchester County. Funding for the selected agencies will come from state grants and federal grants through the Older Americans Act.
“The request for proposal process is important because it enables the county to offer quality services at the best possible price by giving us the opportunity to look at different options and compare costs,” said County Executive Robert P. Astorino.
The proposals for Medicare information services must be sent by June 11 to the Department of Senior Programs and Services, 9 S. First Ave., 10th Floor, Mount Vernon, NY 10550. Proposals for caregiver resource center services must be sent to the same address by June 16.
